What is dental bonding?
Bonding uses a tooth-colored resin, similar to a white filling, to reshape areas of teeth affected by:
- Gaps between teeth
- Uneven or worn edges
- Staining or localized discoloration
- Chips and small fractures
How it works
First we gently condition the tooth so the resin adheres tightly to your enamel. After matching the material to the surrounding tooth, our dentist shapes it by hand, then a bright light cures it in place and it is polished to a natural shine. Usually there is no drilling or anesthesia, and the entire visit takes under an hour.
